On the nonsensical debate over Long Covid
How bizarre ideas about mental illness have crept into what ought to be an empirical debate.
Thursday, standing in the rain in front of the White House, Bernie Sanders railed against the pharmaceutical industry’s profiteering on Covid. It was largely a reiteration of points he made in an article he’d published earlier in the week; Moderna, he wrote,
plans to raise the price of the COVID-19 vaccine by 400%…by the way, Moderna has already approved a $926 million golden parachute for [CEO Stephane] Bancel once he leaves the company.
This is just the latest instance of the American left’s persistent advocacy on Covid since the epidemic began late 2019.
