Fellow communists, we must let Democrats pretend they oppose us
We can only win in 2024 if we help Democrats trick the American people.
There’s been a lot of outrage among socialists lately over what appears to be a series of mounting attacks against us by the Democratic Party. Earlier today, for example, a spokesman for House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries accused the Democratic Socialists of America of “attacking Black elected officials” by using a picture of a watermelon on one of its flyers, which they call “a dehumanizing trope by white supremacists”. Members of DSA have been quick to respond that the flyer was not theirs and that the watermelon is a longstanding symbol of solidarity with Palestine — but this, I think, is a serious mistake.
The fact is that the Democratic Party is fully committed to the radical left agenda of global communism, opposition to Israel, and universal cancel culture. We all know this — we’ve all been to the meetings, we’ve all seen the emails, and we’ve all know who the Biden Administration has been working with behind the scenes. And we all know that they are only lying about this and pretending to attack us because the election is only a year away. Democrats have decided that they need to publicly distance themselves from us for the sake of victory, and if we want to win we need to let them.
I know that a lot of us communists are personal friends with Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and that it’s gotta be hard to see him call us out like this. All I can say to you is that it’s very clear to me that Hakeem is still fully committed to our shared goal of abolishing private property and Palestinian victory “from the river to the sea.” And a big reason that Republicans haven’t been able to expose him is precisely because he attacks us like this in public. The best thing we can do when that happens is to make a big public performance of being angry so that the public is fooled into believing that we are at war with Democrats, when in fact they have always been our strongest allies.
So don’t expect an apology from Democratic officials or their comms teams anytime soon. I wouldn’t even ask for one, and I certainly wouldn’t expect any of them to acknowledge just how much they’ve been working with us behind closed doors since Biden was re-elected. Just play it cool for now, and I assure you, it won’t be long until they’re back at our DSA meetings planning out how to impose our radical left agenda.
